With Everything Going On is a music festival for the time being. WEGO is an environment where artists and fans can experience and celebrate art within the truth of our particular moment in history.

To us, it seems events like this often tilt in one of two directions. On one side is escapism. We set aside the troubles of the world and disappear into the experience. On the other, crisis becomes so central that the people inside the experience begin to disappear instead, which creates its own problem. Because we are ultimately the ones who have to act.

This is, of course, a fine line to walk, but we want to build a space for music that honors what it feels like to be alive right now. Modern life asks us to bear witness to seemingly endless violence, sadness, absurdity, and contradiction, while somehow still finding joy, staying hydrated, buying incrementally better devices, and generally not making too much of a fuss.

In our view, acknowledging the fundamental absurdity of that experience leads to catharsis. Catharsis leads to community. And communities create meaningful change.

Ok when you say we who is that exactly?
